Seeing the light on the darkside…
How many of you ever thought about looking for a little strange behind your current editing software’s back? Well, I did and I found what dreams are made of and don’t feel a bit dirty but exhilerated.
One night I was strolling down the dark boulevard like a lost soul searching for that feeling I once had. You know, that feeling of satisfaction… That rush of adrenalin… The feeling of uncontrolled desire.
Low and behold, there she was… Dressed in a sleek package with tight fitting cellophane. My heart skipped a beat, my throat tightened, mouth dry and a glorius tingle rushed up my spine.
Her name was Edius Pro.
We stared at one another for a bit. Not quite knowing what to do with myself, I finally got the nerve to take her into my arms and walk her to my studio.
We rushed into my office and I placed Edius on my desk. Like a savage, I peeled her cellophane off with my teeth and reached into the box to retrieve some magic. With the disc in my hand, I slipped it into the system drive and loaded the wonders of Grass Valley…
The rest was history.
After three hours of uncharted territory I discovered things my old software could never do. I couldn’t stop looking at Edius’ interface I am a sucker for beauty. Not only is she beautiful but extremely intelligent as well. She is what every editor has been looking for. As I reached in to really get to know her, I realized Edius is misunderstood. Nobody took time to get to know her.
I confess, I think I have fallen in love with Edius Pro and don’t think I can go back.
By the way, Edius Pro has a sister… Edius Broadcast. Now that’s a lot of software.
