Champs to appear at NewTek’s booth daily between 3:00 and 3:30 pm
NewTek, Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, announced today that it will host several World Champion boxers at NAB 2008 (booth SL8614) from 3:00 to 3:30 pm each day of the show, April 14th to 17th. The esteemed pugilists include Boxing Hall of Famer Mike McCallum, WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, WBC Bantamweight Champion Wayne ‘Pocket Rocket’ McCullough and WBC Junior Lightweight Champion Boza Edwards. Also on hand will be Sterling McPherson, editor of Boxing Illustrated Magazine and professional boxing super-manager that guided more than 100 professional fighters to world title fights. All of the champs and McPherson will participate in autograph and picture sessions at the times listed below.

Mike McCallum: Boxing Hall of Fame; 3 Time Champion — WBA Junior Middleweight Champion, WBA Middleweight Champion, WBC Light Heavyweight Champion; Record: Won 49 (36 KO), Lost 5, Drawn1. He was never knocked out.
Eddie Mustafa Muhammad: WBA Light Heavyweight Champion; Record: Won 50 (KO 39), Lost 8 (KO 1), Drawn 1. He appeared in the movie Raging Bull with Robert DeNiro.
Sterling McPherson: Called “Manager of the Decade” by HBO Sports in 2000, and “Manager of the Year” by the IBF in 1996 and 1997. He is also the editor of Boxing Illustrated.
